I haven't made any indoor home improvements in awhile. I've dedicated the summer to straightening out the plantings outside to the degree that I can...partly because it's cheap (sweat equity) and partly because it just feels like the right thing to be doing when the weather's warm.
I broke the trend today though. Some great company, a generally amazing weekend and a spur of the moment trip to Home Depot combined for the perfect home-improvement storm, and my kitchen is the better for it...
Cabinet and drawer pulls! It was tricky work (and, between you and me, I'm still not 100% certain they're level), but I was fortunate to have some amazing help (the ever-more-impressive MrE)...and my kitchen now looks intentional...instead of unfinished. Yay!!
Stay tuned this fall/winter for Adventures In Crown Molding!

ooo lar lar! very nice
Nice! Since you mentioned them being level, I assume you drilled new holes and everything?
Well, there weren't any holes...so yeah. It was my first foray into making templates, removing drawer faces, drilling holes, counter sinking screws, etc. Getting the two sides of the drawer-pull level was the trickiest part...and where we might not have been completely successful. But meh...it was a good experience and the kitchen needs to be redone entirely eventually... They'll definitely do for now. :)
