Nerd

I just spent a good long time trying to remember if the Golden Rule was part of the Sermon on the Mount or not. I thought it was, but I couldn't find the passage. So I Googled "Sermon on the Mount" and read through most of it online.

...which was actually rather comforting.

I wonder if this means I need to find a church.

Anyone know when/where the First Church of the Nonjudgmental meets these days?

(And yes, by the way, the Golden Rule is, in fact, part of the Sermon on the Mount. Matthew 7:12...quoted for emphasis:
"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.")

...ah, yes, the First Church of the Nonjudgmental aka United Church of No Committment...those are all in Vermont! OUR little town sports two - one "On the Hill" and the other "downtown." Both were Congregationalist Unitiarian Generally Anything Is OK with Us, and then they thought that was too restrictive so they became "Community" Churches. One has a pastor of some sort and the other relies on the Circuit Rider so to speak. You'd like it there.
