Conversations

Conversations you might have if your five-year-old happens to be able to read at a 3rd grade level...

Monkey: What does 'screw it up' mean?
Me: It means 'to mess up'...but that's not a nice way of saying it.
Monkey: The quote is "to put it in scientific terms, 'they screwed up'"
Me: Right. But that's not nice, so please don't say that.
Monkey: So I'm not allowed to put things in scientific terms?
Me: The "scientific terms" part was a joke.
Monkey: Ohhhhhh....

This conversation brought to you by Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People...

....which is actually really hilarious in parts, but I'm not talking about that right now because I'm in Mom-mode and I'm not supposed to approve.
