My End of the Bargain

I'm too tired to post and too tired in general and feeling worn a bit too thin over it all. I'm sure I'll have something brilliantly substantive to say tomorrow.

For now, amuse yourself with This American Life's "Squirrel Cop" story. Play the streaming audio and run it forward to about 20 minutes. It's only a 14 minute story...but it paints a rather hilarious picture about how quickly good ideas go horribly wrong.

Not entirely unlike this whole "blogging every day" thing...

Right. I'm just here to say "hi" because I have not yet, since reading this post, had 14 minutes to listen to the recommended audio. But I look forward to it. TAL is a quality show.

The really sad thing is that on the way to rehearsal last night I thought of an actual topic I wanted to blog about...but after two hours+ of singing, I'd completely forgotten what it was. Then I remembered again in the shower this morning.

I should maybe go write it now so that I don't wind up with another "I suck at blogging every day, but Hiiii!" post. :)

Good idea, I'd hate for you to be electrocuted from water dripping off your fingertips onto your keyboard whilst blogging fresh from the shower.

BTW - although I didn't listen to it this time, Squirrel Cop is high-larry-ous. I got it on CD once when I renewed my NPR membership.

Ira (because we're are on a first-name basis, Ira and I...because he's dreamy in that entirely nerdy sort of way) said in one interview (maybe it was on that CD? ) that for weeks after that piece aired, the TAL staff would walk around the office and crack each other up just by saying "squirrelcop." Heh...

And yeah...I'm opposed to electrocution.
