Whew!

May is nearly over.

I have, in the last four weeks, endured and/or enjoyed (I'll let you choose which)... two trips to the local DMV in the same day, a fantastic visit from DoodleJ, the Holocaust Museum, Eddie Izzard, Kids In The Hall, massive birthday shenanigans at a club, my first house party, a spectacular Mother's Day, a Beer Olympics barbecue with recently-former-frat-boys and their prettygirls(tm), ten+ hours of phone conversation that resulted in a rather awesome first date, my first visit to a church in...a long, long time, the Monkey's 3rd recurrence of strep since December and, most recently, my annual summer budget hell-week at work.

I miss writing, but man! I'm tired.

I hit publish and then passed out for about 10 hours. I just woke up and I'm already thinking a nap would be sweeeet....

I'd like to hear more about recently-former-frat-guys and their prettygirls (tm)

My coworker MJen and his roommates have parties that rival frat house gigs. They hosted an 80s party this winter that inspired me to actually tease my hair WAY more than I ever did back in the day...

This party was a farewell party for him with a beer olympics theme. It started at 1 p.m. and there were lots of teams with matching t-shirts. By the time I gave up and went home at 10 p.m. (after listening to some smashed kid in a Led Zepplin t-shirt tell me for an HOUR how he was in LOVE with Josie -- whoever that is), they were somewhere in the middle of keg #4...which I'm told they killed and made it halfway through #5 before the party finally died in the wee hours of the morning.

With the exception of me and one other dude, everybody there was pretty much not more than a year or three past college graduation...literally. I know of at least one gal there who's still IN college. So...yeah. Super fun, but...

...thus the moniker. :D

I don't remember there being a bunch of pretty girls at that party. I do remember that we went through 4 1/2 kegs...Also we weren't all fratboys, as strange as it sounds Dan actually was never in a fraternity...so there only 3/4ths of the people who live in our house (my ex-house now) were in frats.

Pfft. Technicalities! It had that fratboy feel...or at least my memory of fraternity houses was like that. :)

It's all compliments, Mr. Mess...don't you worry.

Now get off the intrawebz on that cybercafe in Kansas and get back to driving! :P

(p.s. miss you)
